Born to be rivals!

Andy visited the lab which was crowded today but after waiting for a few hours he finally got his first pokemon.After getting his first pokemon from the lab, Andy quickly rushed towards the meadow anxious to start his pokemon adventure. Once in the meadows, he stretched taking a deep breath. He took out his pokeball and threw it in the air letting his BULBAsaur out. Bulbasaur! His pokemon cried jumping and smiling at his new owner. Andy got on his knees and patted the bulbasaur in the head as he chuckled. "You are one energetic pokemon, aren't you?" He said smiling and remembering about his time in the lab. He remembered that Nick was also there looking at other trainers with his charmander next to him. He was lucky he didn't have to go to the lab, he got his starter from his uncle. Nick was Andy's neighbors and since kids they've been competing in everything, maybe pokemon training wasn't the exception. He looked at the grass realizing he had chose a pokemon type that is weak against Nick's fire type. He let out a small sigh as he clenched his fist and then slapped himself letting out a small smile. "I don't have to worry! Bulbasaur can take anything, right!?" He said smiling as he started to walk through the meadows. Bulbasaur nodded slightly and started to walk next to his trainer towards their adventure.

Nick thought it was a complete waste of time that he'd been told to go to the lab. He had already gotten his pokemon and all his equipment, so there was really no need for him to go, but his uncle suggested that he go so he took his Charmander and spent the day in the lab. He saw some useless trainers go by and some people who weren't even worth the professor's time. He had seen someone interesting though. Andy. As much as he hated to admit it, Andy was his biggest competition. They'd been neighbors and they had never had anything in common.

Hopefully, he would never have to see him ever again. Both of them went on their own adventures so there was a small chance they'd bump into each other. It was only the Praz Meadows, though, and he already spotted Andy with his Bulbasaur. Well a little training with him wouldn't hurt now. He let his Charmander out and walked up to him. "Andy," he called out simply as he stood next to him, looking down at the shorter boy, "I'm surprised you're in the meadows. I would've thought by now you'd given up and stayed at home with your mommy."

Andy was walking through the meadows minding his own business as he looked at his surrounding. It was a nice day. It was fresh and the sky was cloudy not letting the sun through just how he liked it. He thought it might rain so his main focus right now was to find a place to stay before the rains comes. He then looked down and smiled as he saw his bulbasaur running around the meadows exploring. Bulbasaur suddenly stopped running looking back at his trainer and growling softly. Andy was confused but it was all cleared when he heard a familiar voice right next to him. He tilted his head towards the voice just to see his old friend, Nick.

He looked up at him and heard his words, cocky as always. He then looked down and saw his bulbasaur get close to Nick's charmander. Deep down he was still worried about the type difference but then he smiled as he looked at his bulbasaur confidence. He chuckled and looked at nick again. "I'm surprised you think I would give up, I would never give up on my dream..just like how I never gave up and finally defeated you in brawl." He said chuckling. He knew that would get on his nerves since he doesn't like to lose.

The Charmander simply crossed its arms and scoffed at the stupid Bulbasaur. What a joke, and that was probably what it was going to be battling. It wouldn't be hard, it was a grass type and he was a fire type. It was all in statistics. The fire type pokemon simply stepped away from Bulbasaur in disgust. It was exactly like its master, cocky and stuck up. It worked for them, though. Being so confident always got them great things. They'd only lost once and it hadn't even been to Andy, so Nick was looking at him like he was stupid. "Look, stupid, I've never lost to you. I don't know if all the losing is getting to you or something, but I've never lost to you and I never will."

Andy was never a hard opponent, it was Andy. He was too childish to win a battle. Nick, on the other hand. He was very serious during battles and would never let his opponent get a move in. It was a good strategy, which was why he always won. Because he had a strategy. They were polar opposites, but Nick was on the better side. "In fact, I'll prove it. Let's battle right now, my Charmander's definitely up for it." On cue, Charmander jumped in front of Nick and glared at Andy. "Char, char!" it said excitedly.
